Will Making PDAs with MS Pocket PC More Connectable Make Them More Useful? David Coursey runs down new connectivty features in Pocket PC 2003 for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (not much BTW), "new with Pocket PC 2003 is a feature called Zero Configuration for Wi-Fi networks, which is similar to what's available on Windows XP desktops. When Pocket PC 2003 senses that a wireless network is available, it notifies you and gives you a chance to connect. If you move from one hotspot to another, or from one access point to another within your corporate campus, you'll find this very handy. Once you've entered your login information for a particular network, the Pocket PC saves it and logs on automatically when it sees that network in the future."
I'm wondering if I should be going this route for mobile blogging or if getting that Nokia 3650 Camera Phone is going to cover my needs. Basically, I need something that can post text blurbs from anywhere and can also add text captions to both photos posted mobilily (VO word) and to audio blog posts. |

Learning A New IPhoto Trick: Automatically Importing Photos and Creating An Album Derrick's got another great article called How to Manage Large Image Libraries with iPhoto 2. Here's one of the many things I learned, tried, and succeeded...
The small difference is that I used Finder to store all of the various media items (images, wav caption files, quicktime movies) my Olympus D-40Zoom records in a new folder, then dragged the folder to iPhoto, which performed as advertised...importing all of the images into iPhoto and creating a new photo album with the folder name. Cool!
My big question is coming up with a more generic way to use the iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, iTunes) to work with these various media types and organize (and, importantly, archive) them. Maybe Derrick has already dealt with this topic in another article. |

Does Anyone Else Go Crazy When They Don't Blog? Holy Moly...I'm about to go crazy from bloglessness. I have really been wrestling with the fact that I don't have enough time to blog. And I don't want to hear any shit about it not being important enough...I just don't have time if I'm going to remain healthy (and even minimally so...just getting enough sleep). Mostly it's been work that has been full-time and not allowing for side blogging. The gaul of them!
Anyway, I swear I'm going to blog today and I've got my first post in my head... |
