Justin Morell hung out with us tonight, after making a 7 hour drive down from Oakland. We played and talked about his new disc, "Tri(o)range". I also learned about his dad, John Morell, and his stint with Shelly Manne (and San Diegan Mike Wofford)...even getting Justin to give his review of pop's playing...pretty cool. Justin hung out with us before and after the interview, including sitting in our second interview.

Diane Schuur joined us by phone from her car enroute to San Diego. She's singing with the San Diego Symphony this weekend, so we talked about that and her latest disc, Midnight (a collaboration with Barry Manilow). Diane was pretty tired from a taping in LA today, so we didn't really get very "in" as far as the interview was concerned. But it was nice to talk to her anyway.
