2003.11.13 - Tikal With Miff Mole on Creative Music on Jazz 88 San Diego Miff Mole, host of Creative Music with Miff Mole and Freetime each Thursday from 9 to midnight on Jazz 88, had the members of the local San Diego group Tikal in the studios to talk about their music and promote their upcoming show and live recording this Sunday, November 16, 2003 at Dizzy's. Here are some links to listen to the interview as it went down live, last night, around 10:00 pm PT. The interview was about 16 minutes long and a good time was had by all. Here's some pictures to prove the point.

2003.11.13 The New Jazz Thing Live on Jazz 88 - Larry Goldings - Andrew Durkin - Creative Music - TAKAL A few quick notes before the clock strikes midnight and I'm deprived of making tonight's great show, with Larry Goldings, Andrew Durkin of The Industrial Jazz Group (IJG), and special Creative Music Bonus points scoring with Joe Garrison, Burnett Anderson, the funny guy, and Anne Joseph taking my spot encroaching on Miff Mole's show! Here are the log pages from tonight, 6 to 8 pm PT as Log 1 of 2 and hour 3 from 8 to 8 pm PT as log 2 of 2 Both of the interviews with Larry and Andrew were lots of fun, very casual and informative, and interesting. The MP3's of the interviews will be following shortly. And then I got to observe and participate in the documenting of Miff Mole, Joe Garrison, and TIKAL talking about this Sunday's show / recording at Dizzy's. I've got pictures in very rough form to post. Miff Mole's show totally rocked tonight and Dizzy's will rock this weekend (IJG on Saturday, TIKAL on Sunday)...woa!
![]() I have so much to do with last night's audio and pictures. And the playlist from the show. And the interviews. And Miff's interview. And then we've got all kinds of work to do if we are really going to do The Bob Gibb Memorial Weblog, leading up to both the memorial on November 23 at the San Diego Musicians Union and a possible TNJT guest spot on Big Band Brunch, November 30, 2003 from 10 to noon. The plan to is to get Bob friends to share stories and related BB music which we'll put together, along with a little TNJT New BB touch, to the Bob's Big Band Brunch slot on 11/30/2003. Sounds like fun and a great thing to do for a great Jazz supporter in San Diego. Let's see where it all goes!
There...got it in...VO |
