Tonight on the show (UPDATE: PETE only)…Pete, Sheila, and the whole Escovedo Family will be joining me in Hour 2 of the New to chat about their upcoming shows in San Diego at Anthology SD (and hosted by Jazz 88’s own Latin Groove-Master Chris ‘C-Love’ Springer)! Also, we’ll be looking forward into 2010 and what happenings and trends we will be following on TNJT!!
Also coming…the first New This Week for 2010, tonight’s discs for spinning, links, chat, and more!!! Would I be able to create a musician-led, spontaneous talk show, by virally spreading the word on the discs I pick to play on the show. Can you image one of the artists on a disc I pick to play getting notification when I pick a disc of theirs for possible play (between 5 and 6 PM PT Pre-Show), they dial into the talk show just like other musicians, artists, fans, members and we go live with them on the radio show telling us about the tune we are about to hear! The talk show goes on in the background online during the radio show playing the tune…and on from there as we pick our way through the new music! Sounds like a fun thing to orchestrate for me…and totally interesting to folks wanting a more community, informed listening experience option!

I am retweeting the JAzz 88 Twitter Feed during the show to post the playlist in realtime to my listeners. I need to put a TNJT Twitter badge on http://TNJT.com. I also need to see if this is something my Twittter Followers want…learning the Stop and Start TNJT commands!
I need to finally figure out the audio feed into the webcam. A switch that will take the station live when I’m chatting or not when I want to chat in the background. Anyway, the recording of videos would be much more consistent if I didn’t have to think about turning off my radio mic to have you hear what’s going on. Shame on me.
We need to have ‘Purchase’ links on the Twitter Feed. Mobile buying of JAzz Music!
i need to find the picked discs picture in the ether. And pursue using viral announcement to find musicians I’m going to play, make connection on line in real time, and have them on the show…and on the talk show to answer questions about the tune and their music. Wow…I think this is a winner idea!!!
