Wow...what an honor...and a challenge, I believe. Here's how our friend and facilitator Farhad Bahrami, put it in his announcement to the masses... "Mohammad Reza Lotfi, a leading interpreter of traditional Persian music, will be making a rare Southern California appearance on Saturday, June 25. A virtuoso of the tar and setar (long-necked lutes), he will perform extended improvisations from the classical Persian repertoire - music that is highly ornamental and noted for it's poetic and spiritual qualities."
